Keya C. Brown attended California State University, Chico as an undergrad and went on to Cal Northern School of Law where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. She was admitted into the California State Bar, and in Federal Court, in the Eastern District of California.
Following admission into the state bar, Keya began practicing family law at firm in Sacramento. But a desire to assist clients one-on-one and an opportunity to come home to Chico, lead her to open a family law practice serving Butte and Tehama Counties in the areas of Family Law and Estate Planning.
When opening her practice, Keya decided that she would focus on issues that combined her skill and experience with issues that were deeply personal to her as well. In Family Law, that includes dissolution, child custody and support matters and adoptions.
Keya’s Estate Planning practice encompasses the drafting of Wills and Trusts with a focus on those issues facing young families. Keya is a member of the Bar Associations in Butte, Tehama and Sacramento Counties. Keya has a love of running and is the current President of the Chico Running Club.
